createIndex #

Create a new empty index, with no associated mapping.

createIndex([index], [options], callback) #

Arguments	Type	Description
`index`	string	Optional index to query. If no set, defaults to Kuzzle.defaultIndex
`options`	JSON object	Optional parameters
`callback`	function	Callback handling the response

Options #

`queuable`	boolean	Make this request queuable or not	`true`

Callback Response #

Returns an object with the index creation status.

Usage #

// Using callbacks (node.js or browser)
kuzzle.createIndex('myIndex', function (err, res) {
  // callback called once the create operation has completed
  // => the result is a JSON object containing the raw Kuzzle response
});
// Using promises (node.js)
kuzzle
  .createIndexPromise('myIndex')
  .then(res => {
    // promise resolved once the create operation has completed
    // => the result is a JSON object containing the raw Kuzzle response
  });
